![]() Now, that method of application gets very expensive, when you are leveling up and finding new items all the time. Later if you want to undo it, you need to have a Glamour Dispeller (sold at a variety of vendors, including the ones that sell Chocobo Greens). With those 3 things, you can apply the (look) over the (stats) by burning the Prism. The idea of Glamouring starts with an item you want to wear for (stats), an item you like the (looks) of, and a Glamour Prism. You can also singularly glamour stuff from the chest, but it only applies the item. If just glamouring a singular item outside of the glamour chest, you have to have that item in your inventory. If you want to remove an entire outfit that you're wearing, you have to have enough to cover the entire outfit. Glamour dispellers are used for removing a glamour from an item. You're unlikely to have items that are for the opposite sex unless you are a fantasia addict, and the only racial restrictions are for starter gear. Very little of these items exist so don't worry about it. So if you wanted to a piece like Heirloom Tunic of Healing (Level 80, healing) or Nabaath Doublet of Healing (Level 77, Healing) you'd have to be wearing armor that matches the Level of the item your glamming over it.Īnd you cannot glam anything that has sex/race restrictions. ![]() However, you cannot wear anything above Level 70 over it. So you can wear the Plague Doctor's Coat (Level 60, healer) Woad Skyrdruid's Fur (Level 53, healer) or the Frontier Dress (Level 1, classless) over it. So for example, let's say you are wearing the Farlander Acton of Healing (Level 70, Healer gear). You cannot glamour an item with a higher level than the armor you're wearing. Only scholars could wear glams with that specific piece. You cannot glamour an item that belongs on a different role/job onto a differing job/role gear.Įxample one: Ironworks armor of fending cannot be glammed onto Ironworks corselet of aiming and vice versa.Įxample two: The Savants Overcoat (Scholar Only) cannot be glammed onto anything if you're not a scholar. You do not need a glamour prism to put on a glam plate. Glam plates are basically being able to put on whole outfits at once instead of going piece by piece. Using the glam dresser, you can make glam plates. You don't need a dispeller or prism to take it out. In order to put something in the glam dresser, you need a glam prism. At every inn (that's in most cities excluding endgame armor hubs) and every barracks (only in the big three) there is a glam dresser.Presumably you have already done the quest for learning how to glam and how to dye.
